Take a peek into my sketchbook and daily drawing practice, the work that happens between globe painting, commissions and large projects. Most of these drawings are created in situ using fine liners and are coloured in watercolour either on the spot or later at my working desk. They are observational drawings of the people, places, architecture and everyday moments I find interesting or beautiful, mixed with visual journaling and my own notes and reflections.

This is often the process behind my illustration work, starting from quick ink sketches to more detailed watercolour studies. This continuous practice of recording of the small moments is vital to my illustration quite often becomes the starting point for bigger ideas.
